Our Pac’s First Contest

Why will Mitt Romney say anything?

Mitt Romney will say anything to get elected. We know that because his own campaign said so. [Etch-a-Sketch]
Every day, when you on turn on the TV, there is Mitt Romney saying another embarrassing or ridiculous thing in his quest for the White House. [I don’t care about the very poor]
Sometimes his comments are cringe worthy, but more often than not they are just half-truths and ridiculous repacking of a flimsy record. With Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum you may loathe them, but you understand where they come from.
But not Mitt,
So it begs the question.
Why is it that Mitt Romney will say anything?

That dear friends is up to you, in our “Why will Mitt say anything?” Contest.
Mitt will say anything because…
For Instance:

Mitt wil say anything to help the top 1%.
Mitt will say anything because he has nothing to say.
Mitt wil say anything because presidents can fire lots of people.

Thank You
Jason Paul and the Our Pac Team

Are you sick and tired of being bombarded with political e-mails asking you to give to this candidate or that candidate? What if instead of being an ATM, you were instead part of the decision making? What if every decision was based on the wisdom of a group that cares about the candidates you already care about but that also goes the extra mile to find the diamonds in the rough? What if the group used evidence-based strategies like those employed in the Money Ball sports model and applied them to elect the kinds of Democrats and Progressives that this country needs?

Now there is such an organization. Our Values, Our Candidates, Our PAC.

We Know Best

The idea of this PAC is simple: The collective wisdom of those who participate in progressive politics is better than the top-down approach often favored by those inside the Beltway. By getting the mass participation of like-minded and thoughtful progressives, we will be able to make better decisions about how to spend dollars. By requiring a small buy-in, we make sure that those participating have a real stake in the outcome.

How We Are Different

There are a lot of good progressive organizations, but none are truly run by their members. This leads all too often to group think, and worse, power dynamics that mask dissent. We welcome dissent and vote privately so as to get the maximum benefits out of the joint wisdom of our members. We will be as bottom-up as possible.

Focus

While ultimately our focus will come from our membership, at the outset our aim is to find the new or under-utilized idea. Someone was the first to use the web for campaigns, someone sent the first campaign text messages, and someone else figured out that Obama could be President by racking up big margins in caucus states to offset, Clinton’s strength in New York, New Jersey and California. In each case people bet on an idea that seemed crazy. Our goal is to find the great crazy ideas and help them along.
